Do I Qualify for Home and Community Base Services (HCBS)?You may qualify for HCBS if you meet the following criteria: -You havechronic/long-term condition. A condition is considered to be long-term if it has lasted for longer than six months -You have a monthly income of less than $2,163 - You have less than $8,000 in countable resourcesor assets.These can include savings, property, bonds, etc -You require assistance with daily personal task such as, but not limited tocooking, cleaning, laundry, groceries, companionship, and medicationreminders

Can I become a caregiver/personal care assistant with A Sheltering Embrace?Prior to taking the steps to begin the onboarding processfor acaregiver/personal care assistant position, you should consider if you meet the basic requirements: -You are at least18 years of age -You can speak, write and read English and/or Spanish -You have a high school diploma or GED -You have a government issued photo identification -You are authorized to work in the United States -You are physically able to do the tasks of a home care provider, including but not limited to lifting up to 50lbs -You are compassionate, dependable, and willing to learn If you meet these requirements you can get the onboarding process started by filling out the interest form here.

Can I get paid to provide homecare services to a family member?Yes. A Sheltering Embrace will pay you to take care of a qualifying family member. The exception is, if you are the spouse or legal guardian (including anyone with power of attorney) of the individual needing assistance.

Can I switch from my current homecare agency to A Sheltering Embrace?Yes. As a matter of fact, we welcome all transfers! The process of switching homecare agencies for either a client and/or caregiver is an extremely easy process that requires a simple phone call. A member of our team will be happy to guide yout hrough the entire process.
